Eastern Tennessee proves a destination for outdoor, city enthusiasts
If you love outdoor adventures, at times it can be hard to dig up something new. Tennessee is well-known for its centralized, country music-filled capital, Nashville, but the eastern side of the state shouldn’t be overlooked. On our road trip through Knoxville, the Smoky Mountains and Chattanooga, we explored the tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public in the U.S., were among the first on the continent to try a French-designed four-wheel utility terrain vehicle, learned to rock climb and drove through the winding roads through the Smokies.
