Imagine your life completely transformed. That one morning, you're told you will never walk again. Ever. This is the story of Denis Mercier. Fifteen years ago, during a back operation, Denis fell victim to a medical error. He was then informed that he was paraplegic and would never regain the use of his legs. A shock for this forty-year-old industrialist. It took Denis seven years to accept his disability and fully embrace life again.

Originally from Drôme, Denis left Valence to settle in Montpellier, by the sea, and start a new life. He gradually tamed his disability and decided to buy a second home in Nages in the Tarn, by a lake. Nature called him, but how to cope with his disability? Denis inquired, searched for an all-terrain wheelchair, and that's when he discovered SWINCAR, a winner of the Business Awards. Seduced by the concept, he tried the electric buggy. This test was a revelation for Denis, who couldn't imagine feeling such emotion. He eventually bought a vehicle in the spring of 2019.

Since then, he cannot imagine his life without this adapted vehicle. Going fishing, hiking, escaping independently has become possible again thanks to his SWINCAR.
